BCPS is proud to announce that ALL graduating seniors now have a smoother, faster and more accessible path to early acceptance at the Community College of Baltimore County through a new partnership called Direct Admit. Direct Admit provides a simplified path to early admission, information, resources, and financial aid at CCBC.  For most students, CCBC tuition will be low cost or free.

On Monday, March 16 all BCPS seniors will receive a Direct Admit email in their BCPS account with instructions to complete a brief confirmation form for acceptance.

Principal's Message

Welcome back to Lansdowne High School! We are excited to start a new school year full of learning, growth, and teamwork where we are working together to Ignite Brilliance, Expect Excellence and Celebrate Greatness.

Last year, we became a Community School. That means we are working with more organizations and people in our area to help students, families, and the whole community. You might see new events, more help when you need it, and chances to share your ideas. Be on the lookout for messages from Dr. Carey, our Community School Facilitator (CSF), who is helping lead this important work.

We continue to focus on creating supportive classrooms where all students can thrive and receive high-quality instruction. Every classroom will reflect high expectations for all students, aligned with our belief that diversity enriches learning and every student has unique potential. You will see this commitment to igniting brilliance, expecting excellence and celebrating greatness in

  • our changes to our procedures for submitting missing work,
  • increased opportunities for academic intervention and enrichment, and
  • improved outreach efforts to partner with parents with the goal of improving academic outcomes for our students.

We want to hear from you. Please share your questions, ideas, or concerns. When we work together, our school becomes stronger for everyone.

Thank you for being part of our school community. It continues to be an honor to be the principal of Lansdowne High School and getting to know your child and the community. I look forward to the continued opportunities for us to work together in supporting our students throughout the year.

With gratitude,

Allison Seymour
