Successful students at Lansdowne High School come to school regularly. Students who come to school every day and come to school on time have better grades in their courses, better test scores, and better opportunities to reach their goals.

The BCPS Attendance Policy states that students who have three (3) unexcused absences in a course will fail that course. Students with five (5) excused absences in a course may fail that course. At LHS, students are recognized for outstanding attendance with quarterly and end-of-year attendance awards.

Promotion Requirements
The requirements for promotion to the next grade level are as follows:
Grade 10
1) Have a minimum of 4 credits.
2) Pass either English 9 or Social Studies 9.
Grade 11
1) Have a minimum of 9 credits. 2) Pass English 9 and Social Studies 9 and pass either English 10 or World History 10.
Grade 12
1) Have a minimum of 14 credits.
2) Meet requirements for grade 11.
3) Pass English 10 or World History 10
4) Pass English 11 or U.S. History 11
5) Be scheduled to meet the 21 required credits for graduation.

If you do not successfully meet the promotional requirements for the next grade level, you may go to summer school. To be eligible for enrollment in summer school,
a student must
Pass two out of the four quarters during the school year
Meet attendance requirements
Be enrolled in the course to be reviewed during the entire last quarter of the regular school year.
