At LHS we stress rigor, relevance and relationships in order to keep our academic standards high while focusing on the child. In order to fulfill our mission and to help every students gain the skills and knowledge needed to become productive citizens, we are organized into academies. All entering grade nine students are members of the Viking Academy which addresses the unique needs of new high school students. Student in the upper grades select one academy, (Arts and Communication, Business and the Academy of Finance, Health and Human Services,or Engineering, Science & Information Technology), to help them focus their education and to provide meaningful learning experiences.
